About the Author
First of all, I would like to start by saying my sun sign is Virgo, and my ascendant is Cancer; I have a Libra moon. In astrology that would mean that my Virgo sun in the third house would probably have something to do with my ability to write. My Cancer rising could be the reason I have psychic ability and tend to mother and nurture people. My Libra moon would say that I always try to find balance with everything, and see beauty in things around me; such as, pansies, my favorite flower.
My husband Bob and I live in Toledo, Ohio. Our household, consists of one girl cat Sunshine who is very special to me because she is my baby, like our cat Boots was before she died in 1994. Sunshine is a long-haired tiger/manecoon, and looks just like our sweetheart Boots. Sunshine knows how to strut her beauty, and how to play miss goody when she wants attention, but she can also be a little bitchy when she wants to be. Our pets are always treated like family members. We had two dogs. Luger who was beautiful and he looked more like a golden retriever than a white Shepherd. Since he was the father, he was more tenderly aggressive than his son, Ziggy. I thought it was really cool that Ziggy was named after my favorite cartoon character. He was whiter than Luger, and he looked like a white wolf or polar bear. He loved attention and he tried to get it in a more loving way than Luger. Luger was sweet and gentle in his -I am the dog of the house way-. He was quite the dog also. They were my friends and my protectors. They loved Bob so much that he couldn't make a move unless they are at his heels. When he was not home, they followed me around. We also had another cat, Casper, who came to us as a stray. He was a gray long hair. He liked to be petted sometimes, but he was not a lap cat. He was sort of an independent cat that only liked attention when he wanted it. He was very good about taking care of his sister Sunshine. I loved Casper dearly. Sunshine and Casper both had their own unique personalities that made them both special and loving companions. Most people don't believe that our animals learned to talk. "Yeah, for real." It all started with Sunshine calling me Mom. Then she started saying I want out and I want in. I can understand her as plain as if a person was talking to me. It is not a meow, it is words. Casper only said Mom, in his shrill voice. Then one day, Ziggy shocked me when he said "I want out." It was not a bark, he moved his mouth really weird and said the words. He also said Mom, bone, hello, hi, and I don't know. After a long while of hearing Ziggy say things Luger began to say Mom, I want out, and hello. They usually only said hello to Bob when he came home. Sometimes they would say hi to me. One night, I was in my room and heard "Hello," and it was so plain that I thought Bob was already in the house and speaking to the boys. I went to check and realized the hello was from one of the boys because Bob was still in the garage. It was awesome. They learned hello from Bob, because when he came home he always said "Hello guys." It was really cool to see them move their mouth in their special way to talk. It was not my imagination. Bob understood them and my sister heard Ziggy talk while I was on the phone with her once and understood what he was saying. Bob and I would just look at each other and grin when one of them talked. It was like a zoo around here sometimes, but I learned to love animals so much that some of my friends call me Saint Francis ~the lover of animals.As you can see I speak of all the pets except Sunshine in past terms. That is because when I first put my website up they were all living and well and I had to add them to my information because they were so important in my life. Luger passed away October 29, 2005 at age 8. Then on November 24, 2008 Ziggy passed away at age 10. On January 20, 2009 Casper passed at age 15. They had fairly long and wonderful lives with us. I guess you wonder why I am leaving information about our dead pets on my website. A simple reason. These boys meant so much to Bob and I that I feel a need to keep them here to honor their memory and our love for them. I pray that Sunshine still has some time left here to spend with us. She is now 13 years old. We have decided not to replace the boys for a while. Really there are no replacements for them and we feel a need to hold on to the loving memories of them for a while longer. We will know and feel when it is time to adopt other pets. Both Bob and I have seen and heard all of our boy pets in Spirit form here at the house since they left. It is really awesome to know they are still around giving their love to us. I am sure they are now our Spirit Helpers also.
Although she isn’t a part of our household anymore because she lives in California, I have a daughter Victoria, who is 37. She is my only child and I am very proud of her because she has always been such a special and important part of my life. She has been my inspiration over the years. She is very creative and artistic. She designed and did the art work for the cover of My Spirit Helpers. She moved to Los Angeles in 1998, and is pursuing her Fashion designing and costuming career.
I realized by accident a few years ago that I have a talent for writing song lyrics. I had no idea that I had this gift until one day Spirit/God sat me down at my computer, and helped me write a song in about five minutes. They also helped me to write two more that day. After that it was very easy to write a song in a few minutes. I have written over one hundred songs since that day. Hopefully someone special will see my songs and realize the quality of them and decide to record them. I also write poetry. They, like my songs are about true life feelings. Writing is something that I really enjoy doing. It is one of my passions that gives me comfort when I am sad and joy whe I am happy. I have written five other books besides My Spirit Helpers that are out now. They are titled, My Way of Coping With Cancer. My Unusual Experiences With Spirits and two children's books - Princess Shelia and Momma Puffy. Also Tawl Horse- His Spiritual Journey. It is a book about my main guide who helps me with healing and creativity. My daughter Victoria designed the covers for these books also. They are available on this website under BootSun Publishing.
I hope that My Spirit Helpers and my other books will help to inspire and heal all people who read them even if it is in some small way.I designed a doll and her name is Momma PuffyTM and she was inspired from my book from the same name. Someday I would like to get her out to the children who can enjoy her, but she will need to be manufactured from a company who is made in the USA only. She is an angel and she must be safe for kids. I also hope to find someone who is interested in making Momma Puffy into an animation. It will be really cool when all of this happens. Hopefully God will see that the right people are put in my path to help me to see these goals come about sooner than later.
