Don’t underestimate me and what I can do.
Just because I am determined
doesn’t mean I don’t love you.
I want to accomplish all I can do,
But that doesn’t mean I don’t love you.
You seem to want to hold me back,
from doing what I want to do,
and to be who I am supposed to be
You should know by now not to underestimate me.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t love you.
I am very certain that I will do my best
and sometimes be better than the rest
I am not afraid to ask questions and ask for help.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t love you.
I will try to move mountains when I set my mind to it,
and deep inside I know I can do it,
But that doesn’t mean I don’t love you.
Maybe sometimes I try too hard
But just love me and let me be
the person I am supposed to be.
Because it doesn’t mean I don’t love you.
Please have faith in me
and don’t underestimate me and what I can do,
Because, it doesn’t mean I don’t love you.
