Someone To Love

I asked God from up above
if he would send me someone to love
I prayed that it would be someone who
would love me too
My prayers were
answered and he sent me you.
Oh what a wonderful thing,
our love is real and not just a fling.
I always hoped to have a love like you,
but I had lost all hope
that my dreams would come true.
I waited and waited for you,
to come and love me like I love you.
I am so happy I can’t believe it’s finally true.
As we walk together hand and hand,
I am so happy that our romance began.
I know that our love will survive
through stormy weather.
Because I feel in my heart
we are meant to be together forever.
